Free Software Foundation Europa

La Fundación para el Software Libre en Europa (FSFE) es una organización sin ánimo de lucro y, en algunos países, una organización benéfica dedicada al Software Libre. La FSFE sostiene que las libertades de usar, estudiar, compartir y mejorar el software son fundamentales para garantizar la igualdad de participación en la era de la información. Trabajamos para crear comprensión general y apoyo a la libertad del software en la política, el derecho y la sociedad en general. También promovemos el desarrollo de tecnologías como el sistema operativo GNU/Linux, que proporciona estas libertades a todos los participantes en la sociedad digital.

El trabajo de la FSFE es posible gracias a muchas contribuciones individuales, en particular las de la Fellowship de la FSFE. Uno de los métodos para contribuir es unirse ahora y animar a otros a hacer lo mismo.

Not only because the first real sunbeams start showing up all-over Europe, but mainly because during the whole month we run our first-ever voting process to elect a Fellow representative to FSFE General Assembly (GA). FSFE booth at RMLL Nantes/F

The 10th RMLL, Rencontre Mondial de Logiciel Libre (LSM, Libre Software Meeting) is taking place at Nantes. Rainer Kersten will organise a FSFE booth there.

RMLL is the most important Free Software event at France. This year, GNU/Linux User Group Nantes is expecting some 5000 visitors at the University of Nantes.

Whoever would like to come and help, is highly welcome. Please contact dus@office.fsfeurope.org for coordination.

Fellowship Meeting in Berlin in Juli

The local Berlin Fellowship group will meet on 9 July at 7.30 pm at the Newthinking Store located in Tucholskystraße 48.

This time there will be a discussion with representatives from political party youth organisations about free software.

As always, guests are welcome to join.

This year's FSCONS (Free Society Conference and Nordic Summit) takes place on November 13-15 and is co-organised by Fellows of FSFE. More than simply a conference, FSCONS is a meeting place for social change, focussing on the future of Free Software and how to build a Free Society on its principles.
